Read the Step-by-Step Guide Below:

Step 1

The materials that you'll need are: paper card, vellum, black markers, watercolor and brush!

Let's begin!

Step 2

Before anything else, put a vellum in between your card so that it won't imprint through the part where you are going to write your message.

Step 3

Then dab your brush unto your watercolor and start creating loads of petals on your card. Press down lightly to create the thick bit and move up to create the thin bits.

You can draw an outline first if you want or you can paint directly on the card as seen below. Whatever works better for you!

Step 4

Now that we've done the first layer, dry the paint up using your heat tool as we don't want the second layer to mix in with the first one.

Step 5

We are now going to create the second layer and fill up the gaps. This should be a little bit looser so we could have more flow to it.

Step 6

Pull out your black markers that you love to doodle with. As for me, I'm going to use the thicker ones to draw the stems.

Try to create movement by creating soft lines as seen below.

Step 7

Then finish off the painted design with lovely petal shapes using a thinner pen.

Try not to follow the lines that you have created with your watercolor, as we are trying to create an abstract piece. We're aiming for an organic look, and you'll absolutely love it!
Look at how lovely it has come out. That is a really cool way to create a stunning card!
Just a few more steps to finish off your wonderful layout!

Step 8

Adhere a sentiment. As you can see, I used an adorable die cut lettering with the word: "smile".

This will definitely cheer up the recipient of your card!

Step 9

Then, trim the paper to create a closer focus.

Step 10

Using my pens, I've made funky dots all the way around and added some berries to the design.
And we're done! I love how it turned out! It's so organic and unique!
I hope you enjoyed this wonderful card making tip! Stay tuned for more upcoming inspiring and creative tips!
