The materials that you'll need are the following: gold embossing powder, Versmark watermark, and heat tool.

Read the Step-by-Step Guide Below:

Step 1

I have collected lots of these beautiful patchwork gel plate prints which I've been turning into cards. I just cut it out to my desired card size. To add more interest to the design, we'll be adding a gold embossed effect to it.

Step 2

Now, get your Versamark Watermark ink and do some flicks or smudge of ink onto the card. I just carefully swiped it on my patchwork print.

Step 3

Then, get some gold embossing powder. To reveal the smudge effect that we did with our watermark ink, I sprinkled some powder all over the wet areas. Make sure you cover everything for a full effect.

Step 4

Remove the excess powder from your card.

Step 5

Dry it completely with a heat tool.

Once dry, you'll be left with this lovely shimmer on top of the prints. It doesn't look very uniform, but that's exactly what we are going for! It's such an elegant effect.

With this technique, I was able to create these gorgeous invitations or table name tags for a party I'm going to.

I just added a strip of white paper where I put the names and that's enough because the beautiful patchwork background with gold tones really made it stand out!

Happy cardmaking!
