As cardmakers, we sometimes overthink about designing our sentiments. Sure, a sentiment with intricate details is beautiful... but it's not necessary to make it too flashy for your sentiment to stand out.
For this tip, I'll show you a quick and easy way of making a minimalist card sentiment just with the help of some foam tape and embossing powder!

The first thing I did was print out my sentiments and cut them into thin strips. By printing your sentiments, you'll save time from writing it yourself and it would look so much cleaner.
Now, I have a foam dimension tape here which is the key for making our simple sentiment print-outs stand out more. Stick down a line of your foam tape to a card stock. I'm using a card stock that I die cut into a circle earlier.
Cut your sentiment to be the exact same length as the tape you stuck down. Peel off the top layer of your tape to expose the adhesive, and place your sentiment over it gently.
Just by doing that, you'll have this sleek and cool raised card sentiment!
Now here's a different take on that trick. We'll improve it with an embossing effect!
Just like what we did earlier, we will be sticking down a foam tape to our card stock.
The key difference for this one is we will be cutting our sentiments slightly smaller than our foam tape.
Peel off and expose the adhesive of your foam tape. Carefully stick down the sentiment right in the middle of the tape. This leaves us an exposed adhesive at the corners of our sentiment.
Now let's move on to the fun part! Get your embossing powder (I'm using a gold one), and sprinkle it at the corners of your sentiment where the adhesive is.
Remove the excess by shaking the powder down. If there's some stubborn powder you want to remove, you can use a brush to flick them off.
Dry it off with a heat tool so we can finally get that shine!
And there we have it! You'll be left with this gorgeous and minimalist sentiment with a glimmering border!
